How it started

The quarrying and mining industry has been around for a very long time, but until AMQS came along, it was difficult to find a company that could confidently identify, create, modify and develop new profiles to suit individual applications – much less, one that could do so personally, professionally and punctually, and with a hands-on approach.

Alan and Ron Dinsdale were inspired to apply the knowledge and expertise they had developed while working in their late father’s company many years earlier. John Dinsdale had owned and operated the first company to import wear parts into Australia for the quarrying and mining industry. This company was called Crushing Equipment. John successfully supplied wear parts to most of the quarry plants around Australia, and also designed the first Kumbee Hammer Mill, which is still being produced today.

Motivated by their father’s strong work ethic and processes, Alan and Ron identified a niche in the market and got to work, establishing Australian Mine & Quarry Supplies (AMQS) in February 2007.

Since its launch, AMQS has grown exponentially in size and expertise, offering a wide variety of products and services unparalleled in the industry.
